SODIUM LAMPS - HPS - High-pressure sodium vapour lamps are known for their powerful golden luminous flux and for lasting longer than other types of light bulbs. However, their colour rendering is low. They are highly reliable and inexpensive. They are generally used in places where colour rendering is not as important as light intensity, such as roads, ports, railways, car parks and areas prone to fog. Their efficacy is approximately 130lm/W.
